The Parties
This agreement is between:
1.1 TEDDY FISHER LTD (“Teddy Fisher”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at Unit 3 Station Road Industrial Estate, Telford TF7 5EF.
1.2 YOU (“you”, “Tester”), an individual who applies for and, if approved, participates in the Teddy Fisher Tester Programme.
1.3 Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Tester Programme. Teddy Fisher reserves the right to assess and approve or decline applications at its discretion.
The Tester Programme
2.1 Purpose: The Teddy Fisher Tester Programme is designed to work with anglers who are willing to use our products in real fishing situations and provide genuine, useful feedback based on their experience.
2.2 Approval: Applications are reviewed individually. We may consider fishing experience, the information and materials provided in the application, previous product-testing or content experience, social media activity where applicable, and the applicant’s suitability for the programme.
2.3 Social Media: An established social media presence is not required to become a Tester. Applicants without public social media activity may still be accepted where we believe they can provide useful and reliable product feedback.
2.4 No Guaranteed Benefits: Tester status does not guarantee free products, complimentary samples, pre-release products or future appointment as a Teddy Fisher Brand Ambassador.
Tester Benefits and Discount
3.1 Tester Discount: Approved Testers may receive a 15% discount on eligible Teddy Fisher products purchased through our website.
3.2 Account: The Tester discount is linked to the approved Tester’s customer account and is intended for the Tester’s personal participation in the programme.
3.3 Personal Use: The Tester discount must not be shared, transferred or used to purchase products on behalf of other people or for resale.
3.4 Availability: The discount remains available while Tester status is active. Teddy Fisher reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw Tester benefits where reasonably necessary for the operation of the programme.
Tester Responsibilities
As a Teddy Fisher Tester, you agree to participate genuinely and responsibly in the programme.
4.1 Genuine Testing: Products should be used in genuine fishing situations and in accordance with their intended purpose.
4.2 Feedback: When testing Teddy Fisher products, Testers are expected to provide useful feedback based on their actual experience with the product.
4.3 Honest Opinions: Feedback does not have to be positive. We value honest observations, including criticism, suggestions and information about where or how a product performed well or could be improved.
4.4 Activity: Tester status is intended for anglers who actively participate in the programme. Repeated use of Tester benefits without meaningful participation or feedback may result in a review of Tester status.
4.5 Accuracy: Testers must not make knowingly false or misleading statements about Teddy Fisher products or their experience using them.
Product Testing and Feedback
5.1 Feedback Period: Following the use of a product for testing, we normally expect feedback to be provided within 30 days.
5.2 Feedback Format: Feedback may include a product review, written testing report, photographs, video, social media content or other useful information about the Tester’s experience with the product.
5.3 Product Reviews: Where appropriate, Testers may be asked to leave an honest review of products they have tested on the Teddy Fisher website.
5.4 Social Media: Where a Tester publishes content about Teddy Fisher products on social media or other public platforms, the content must reflect their genuine experience and comply with any applicable advertising or disclosure requirements.
5.5 No Positive Review Requirement: Tester benefits are not conditional upon providing a positive review. Teddy Fisher does not require Testers to conceal negative experiences or provide misleading endorsements.
Code of Conduct
6.1 Sportsmanship and Fair Play: Testers should act with integrity and promote fair play within the angling community.
6.2 Lawful Fishing Practices: Testers must comply with applicable fishing laws, regulations, rod licence requirements and venue-specific rules.
6.3 Fish Welfare: Fish must be treated responsibly and with appropriate care. Teddy Fisher supports responsible angling and catch-and-release practices where applicable.
6.4 Respect for Others: Testers should treat other anglers, venue owners, organisers and members of the public with respect.
6.5 Behaviour: Conduct that could reasonably damage the reputation of Teddy Fisher or the Tester Programme may result in Tester status being reviewed or withdrawn.
Images, Videos and Other Media
Where a Tester submits photographs, videos, reports or other media directly to Teddy Fisher for use in connection with the Tester Programme:
7.1 Ownership: The Tester confirms that they own the submitted material or otherwise have the necessary rights and permissions to provide it to Teddy Fisher.
7.2 Permission to Use: The Tester grants Teddy Fisher a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use submitted material for Teddy Fisher marketing and promotional purposes, including on our website, social media channels, digital communications and advertising materials.
7.3 Editing: Teddy Fisher may reasonably crop, resize, format or edit submitted material for publication, provided that its meaning is not deliberately misrepresented.
7.4 Third Parties: Submitted material may also be supplied to Teddy Fisher partners, event organisers or angling media where reasonably required to promote Teddy Fisher, its products or the Tester Programme.
7.5 Other Content: This permission applies to material submitted or otherwise expressly provided to Teddy Fisher for use. It does not automatically grant Teddy Fisher rights to unrelated content published independently by the Tester.
Tester Status and Termination
8.1 No Fixed Duration: The Tester Programme has no fixed membership period. Tester status remains active while the Tester continues to participate appropriately in the programme.
8.2 Review of Status: Teddy Fisher may review Tester status where an account becomes inactive, Tester benefits appear to be misused, feedback is repeatedly not provided, or programme requirements are not being followed.
8.3 Withdrawal of Status: Teddy Fisher reserves the right to suspend or withdraw Tester status and associated benefits where reasonably necessary, including in cases of misuse, prolonged inactivity, misconduct or breach of this agreement.
8.4 Leaving the Programme: A Tester may leave the programme at any time by contacting Teddy Fisher.
8.5 Effect of Termination: When Tester status ends, any Tester-specific discount or other programme benefits may be removed from the Tester’s account.
The Law
9.1 Governing Law: This agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
9.2 Jurisdiction: The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this agreement.
